What counts as an "AI chat call"? +
Each message you send to the /ai/chat endpoint counts as one call. The response, AIN score, and ZPL filtering are all included — no extra charges per token.
What happens when I hit my limit? +
Your API key returns a 402 Payment Required error. You can purchase a one-time top-up (from €4.99) to continue immediately, or wait for your next billing cycle. You will never be charged automatically — it's always your choice.
How do top-ups work? +
Top-ups are one-time purchases added instantly to your current month. Six packages available from €4.99 (+10K compute, +200 AI calls) up to €349.99 (+2M compute, +40K AI calls). You can stack multiple top-ups. Available on Basic, Pro, GamePro, and Studio plans.
Can I use my own OpenAI or Anthropic key? +
Yes. The /ai/proxy endpoint accepts your own API key and doesn't count against your monthly AI call limit. It supports OpenAI, Anthropic, and Groq.
What is the AIN score? +
AIN (AI Neutrality Index) is a score from 0.0 to 1.0 measuring how neutral/unbiased an AI response is. 0.7+ is considered certified neutral. It's included on every ZPL API response automatically.
What is Economy as a Service (Enterprise Max)? +
For game studios with live economies, Enterprise Max includes the ZPL Economy Balancer as a managed service: we monitor your in-game faucet/sink ratios, detect inflation or deflation in real time, and recommend or apply corrective actions. Pricing depends on your game's size, CCU, and transaction volume — contact sales for a custom quote.
Can I change my plan at any time? +
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle. Unused top-ups carry over for 30 days.
What payment methods are accepted? +
All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. Enterprise plans can be invoiced annually with PO support.
